Great printer
The printer was easy to hook up and works great. The ink however is expensive. I tried using remanufacturedx cartridges and after 3 or 4 copies the printer flashed an error msg that the cartridges were out of ink. They were still full.. XL types. So no cheating on ink and saving acouple bucks.

Bare-Bone Printer | Only Offers A Single Page Scan
My previous Epson printer decided it was time to quit after years of reliably working. It was old, but it was fast at printing, and I could feed multiple pages for scanning. Albeit my world revolves around digital content, so printing is not on top of my list other than really documents, but the few times a year I need a printer and not having one really is a pain hence, I picked up this Epson on saleâ¦PRINTINGFor the money, the printer is great for printing documents. The font print is clear and well defined. Regarding graphics, I’ve only printed a few pages with graphics. The graphics were decent, but then again, I was printing on 20 lb. paper and the graphics were from a website receipt. It common for web developers to make file sizes smaller to speed load times and take up less space so issue could be the website file size. Itâs not really a biggie for me.SCANNINGThe unit only scans one page at a time. In other words, there is no feeder to feed multiple pages to scan automatically one after another. I knew this when I got it, but I will deal with it because I didnât want to drop another $400+ for a printer that I will hardly use.SETUPEasy, itâs a wireless printer and has an intuitive appâ¦CONCLUSIONOverall, itâs a decent printer, but itâs a bare-bone printer that only offers a single page scan (no multi-page feeder) option. If this is what you’re looking for, you found it. You won’t be disappointed.

Be Careful
I installed the XP-4200 since I earlier had an XP-4100. And the initial printing/copying using the controls on the printer itself were easy and the same as those on the XP-4100. When I attempted to print from my computer I ran into a complete wall! Upon investigation Microsoft stated that they hae no driver program for the XP-4200. When I went directly to Epson they routed me to their technology department who in turn had me talking to American/Asian who were barely understandable. I needed the password from my original Router installation years ago, which I was able to locate. Then about 100 minutes (!) of workout on the computer following direction from the Asian led me to obtain a printer test page and I thought that I was almost home.I had terrible luck. The printer would only print copies from its own screen and would not print anything from the computer (even though I earlier had no trouble EVER using an Epson XP-4100 model. It was discovered that my unit had no driver and the technologists set out to solve this problem. (Microsoft even stated that they had not yet provided such a driver to Epson for the XP-4200!). After 100 or more minutes of assistance from an American/Asian lady and with her voice getting more an more difficult to understand, I gave up. I was going to advise readers NOT to purchase the unit at all but, reading the ratings, it was obvious that my unit was different. Tomorrow I will give Epson one more call before returning my XP-4200 to Amazon. Sadly I ordered a supply of ink for the new printer which is now enroute to me… and I will probably have to eat the cost of returning it to the manufacture, A very sad story,

ONLY USE EPSON INK CARTRIDGES
Tried to use off brand ink cartridges and they did not work – off brand ink cartridges are NOT compatible on Epson printers. Epson printers will only work with Epson ink cartridges. Printer is a little complicated to use and takes some time to figure out how to work it for your needs. Customer Support is helpful though and will gladly guide you through any problems you may have trying to get to what you want printer to do. After working out the “bugs” with help from Customer Support printer is working well.

Decent but wouldnât connect to WiFi
The copies were crisp And the printer compact, which was great. However, it took me an hour to get the printer connected to my phone. It printed once and then it could no longer found the printer again. I attempted to connect to my computer and it never found the printer using WiFi or the direct connect. The purpose is to print from both my computer and phone, but I would have settled for one. Unfortunately neither stayed connected. Iâm returning it and hopefully will find a printer that does easily connect. My HP randomly loses connection, which is why I bought a new one. I guess Iâll try a Canon or Brothers next.

Just bought this printer- my previous printer just died. I need a printer strictly for home use (I print recipes, copy documents, scan the odd thing). This Epson was super easy to set up – they have an app that does everything for you and connects to your Wifi. It is available from both my Apple devices (iphone and ipad) – I downloaded the Epson app and my PC laptop (added as a printer). The quality of the print is excellent and quite fast and this printer was a bargain on sale! Things have really changed in 14 years and the Epson smart app makes it available to print and scan and copy. Love it! Highly recommend it!

Sorry, I was very busy and kept the product for a while but within returning duration. The printer screen always shows update and error and the ink is expensive than the printer. That is why I returned it. The seller might be disappointed and I could not leave feedback to seller as that tab is no longer available for this product.

I bought this specifically to print some important paperwork. Set up was easy enough. First sheet printed- great. Second – great. Third? Jammed. Fourth? The thing jammed again and sounded like it was gonna explode. You canât put in more than one sheet at a time and it sucks them in so fast that the get creased and angled. What shouldâve been a 3 minute print job was a 30 minute ordeal. I hope that the gears arenât permanently busted now.
